My plans with odie.tv for 2016

Just a quick spur of thoughts relating to the things i'd like to do with odie.tv as a tech/gaming community, and what you can expect from it in the coming future.

Hello there, if you're reading this, you've stumbled upon my very first blog post!

With that out of the way, let's get to the topic at hand. As of the last few years, odie.tv has been a( mostly) disfunctional slew of pages i put together myself, before moving to using Bolt as our CMS. There's been quite a few ideas that i've been playing around with, but either due to lack of funds, lack of knowledge( of presenting and creating certain content) or simply a lack of discipline i've yet to provide anything of particular interest.

So, let's take it slow, starting small, baby steps, the whole shebang. Right now, the most important thing for me to be working on isn't as much content itself, but putting together the assets and structures/guidelines for said content. Putting together a simple workflow for creating video content. It seems that any live video content is out of the question for now, as i'm dealing with very limited bandwidth currently ( 4mbps down, 0.5mbps up).

Once i've got that out of the way, i do actually have some content planned out for the coming months:

  • A video review of the new CM Storm Devastator II Keyboard&Mouse kit, as it boasts an interesting take on rubber domes with their own sliders they've dubbed "Memchanical".
  • A quick look at NoMachine, my personal favorite when it comes down to remotely managing systems either locally, or through the network.

Take in mind that patching up the website and forums goes first and foremost. After all, what good is content without a proper way to deliver it?

That's all for now, as i'd rather not swamp myself in too much work, heh.
